This route begins with a private road safari so the guide can follow your group's pace. In Serengeti, three nights allow at least two full wildlife days. A scheduled flight then takes you toward Zanzibar, where three nights provide more than a single rushed beach afternoon. Your hotel coast matters: the north is different from the tidal east, and Stone Town is an urban cultural stay rather than a beach resort.
Ten-day itinerary: where you travel and sleep
This is a sample route to help you decide whether the trip suits your dates. Accommodation names, transport sectors and park activity times are final only after availability is checked and the itinerary is confirmed in writing.
Day 1 — Arrive in Arusha
Airport pickup and a restful first night. Capable checks flight details and arranges the agreed hotel transfer. We use the evening to confirm your guide, accommodation names and any children’s seat requirements.

Day 2 — Private Tarangire game drive
Depart after breakfast and explore Tarangire’s riverine and baobab habitats. The vehicle is for your booked party, so breaks can fit the family and guide’s assessment of the park. Drive onward to the Karatu area for the night.

Day 3 — Ngorongoro Crater safari
Start early for the crater descent under current park rules. Enjoy time watching resident wildlife before returning to the Karatu lodge. Rhinos are present but hard to find; no operator can guarantee a sighting.

Day 4 — Drive to Serengeti
Travel via the Ngorongoro highlands, with formalities and rest stops. Game viewing begins as you reach the park, but a large part of this day belongs to the road. Settle into the camp named for your travel dates.

Day 5 — Full Serengeti game drive
Explore the area your guide thinks most productive, looking for resident big cats, plains animals and birds. The schedule can include a picnic lunch or return to camp according to your preference and park rules.

Day 6 — Another full Serengeti day
Use the extra time to revisit a good area or explore a different habitat. The migration moves seasonally, so this will not automatically be a northern river-crossing trip. Capable selects the camp region using your actual month.

Day 7 — Fly to Zanzibar and transfer to your hotel
Meet the driver for the confirmed Serengeti airstrip departure. A light-aircraft flight can make intermediate stops and has luggage limits; we send those details beforehand. Arrive Zanzibar and drive to the booked coast or Stone Town hotel.

Day 8 — A full island day
Swim or relax, or book a Stone Town and spice-farm outing if that interests you more. Driving from one coast to another takes time, so we will help you avoid scheduling several distant activities at once.

Keep one day open for the ocean, a local excursion or simply resting after the safari. Snorkelling and boat conditions depend on weather and tides. Optional activities are priced separately unless clearly included.

Day 10 — Airport transfer and departure
Your booked transfer takes you to Zanzibar airport in time for check-in. If you need a connecting domestic flight to Dar es Salaam or Kilimanjaro, that sector must be on the confirmed itinerary.

Where an internal flight, boat or permit is involved, we check availability before it appears as a confirmed inclusion.
We will give you a written quotation naming each overnight location, room or campsite category, the vehicle and guiding arrangements, meal plan, park fees, transfer sectors, optional activities and the payment and cancellation terms. Wildlife sightings are natural events and are not promised. If your flight arrival makes the first day too short, we will adjust the activities rather than sell you a full game drive you cannot enjoy.

Questions to settle before choosing this trip
Is this a private safari throughout?
The safari vehicle and guiding can be private for your booked party. Scheduled domestic flights and some Zanzibar activities may still be shared; private charter and private boat use require their own quotation.
Do we have three whole beach days?
No. Three nights usually provide about two full days after the arrival transfer and departure. If you want five full beach days, extend the holiday or reduce the safari portion.
Which Zanzibar coast is best?
Nungwi and Kendwa are commonly chosen for more reliable swimming access, whereas much of the east coast has stronger tidal differences. Pick the coast based on your priorities and hotel, not a generic Zanzibar label.
What should I send to request the right price?
