Day 1: Drive from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi

Meet your guide early in Dar es Salaam and drive toward Mikumi National Park. Traffic leaving the city, rest stops and road conditions affect arrival. If timing allows, enjoy an afternoon game drive on the plains before travelling to your booked lodge for dinner.

Day 2: Mikumi game viewing and onward transfer

Start with a shorter game-drive opportunity before continuing overland toward the Nyerere area. This is a travel-heavy day, not two full park days. Take breaks and arrive in time to settle into accommodation; additional afternoon activities depend on actual travel time.

Day 3: Nyerere game drive and optional river outing

Explore Nyerere by safari vehicle with attention to habitat and recent wildlife activity. You may see grazing animals, elephants and riverine species; wild dogs are possible but never guaranteed. A boat safari can be included if listed in the itinerary and if safe water, weather and local permissions allow.

Day 4: Return to Dar es Salaam

Enjoy breakfast, complete any short activity specifically confirmed, then begin the overland return. Leave enough time for Dar es Salaam traffic. A same-day ferry or international departure needs a generous margin and may be better planned for the next day.
